Beauty Review: Tarte Natural Swirl Cheek Stain

Email This Post March 11th, 2008 nicky

tarte.jpgI have heard rave reviews of Tarte’s Cheek Stains over the years but never gave them a try because I was content with my Stila Rouge Pots. I ran out of the Stila last week and made a run to Sephora to get another, only to find they didn’t carry it at my store anymore! I browsed around, remembered the love for the Cheek Stains and bought the new Full Blossom shade. The packaging is super convenient and the product is a blendable stick that is very easy to apply to your cheeks with a sponge or your fingers. Full Blossom is a blend of two Cheek Stain colors and looks like a very natural pink flush when on your skin. It is made with natural minerals and is preservative free. Also, the natural fragrance is because the product is full of antioxidants from a blend of goji, acai, maracuja, acerola and pomegranate fruits. I highly recommend the Tarte Cheek Stains and plan on making this my new staple for cheek color. I’m so happy that I gave it a try!

The Tarte Cheek Stains have always looked gorgeous to me… my skin has just been kind of bad shape to wear any sort of stain/cream/gel blush.

I have largeish pores and some blemishes so I need to do the full mineral makeup and concealer bit. Then at that point, if I were to use anything but powder blush, I’d just be smearing up my existing makeup!

Oh well, maybe one day when I have clear skin I could try them :-\

Thanks for posting though, it does look beautiful!

I usually dab it on with my fingers after my foundation and bronzer powder. I doesn’t seem to smear or take away those products but I’m not sure how it would be with mineral makeup. For powder blushes, I love the Philosophy ones!

Good choice! I think tarte has been kinda overlooked as a brand compared to Stila, but they both make great stuff.

    Hi Nicky,
I LOVE Tarte Cheek Stains. I have been using Blushing Bride for about 3 years now. You have sold me on the Full Blossom. It looks really wearable –even for a redhead like me.

Thank you so much for your kind words on my blog about Forrest. I really appreciate it.

I hope things are going GREAT and you are feeling wonderful!

    Have a GREAT day!

    hi,
I want to try Tarte”s full Blossom desperatelly, but I’m afraid that it’ll not show on medium complexion.I love Tarte’s Flush which looks natural on my skin.
is there anyone with medium complexion have tried this product?

I usually put it on after bronzer and it still gives a nice flush. So I think it would be great for medium complexions too!
