Sandal hunting.

sandals.jpgSpring is around the corner and in my neck of the woods will be here sooner rather than later (no matter what Punxsutawney Phil says.) I am in dire need of cute, semi comfortable sandals this year. Mine are mostly worn to disrepair and have major injuries. Plus with my ever growing pregnant belly, I’ll need to consider that sacrificing comfort over style may not be worth it this time. First question, does any body actually like these gladiator type sandals? I for one think they are tragic. I mean, love the movie but I don’t necessarily want to recreate it on my feet. If they are your thing though, these are from Nine West and cost $80. Much more my style, I like this dressier version of the standard flip flop, the ‘Sannibel’ sandal from Steve Madden. I love the gold chain accent, the flat heel means it won’t kill your feet and the price is affordable at $56. Plus it comes in about 5 different color options! Anyone find any good sandals out there lately? Share!

I agree those sandals are cute. Be careful of hard bottom shoes/sandals while pregnant – they will be an absolute killer on your feet and may cause them to swell, especially in the hotter months. Ivana and I found that softer slip-ons were great while we were pregnant.

The gladiator sandals are a no no in my book too! I use to have a pair of white ones that I loved, but that was 30 years ago. I do like the Sannibel sandals. When I was pregnant I was able to cute shoes with a low heal until my 7th month. After that it was as low as you could go and COMFORT!!! Tammy is right. The softer slip-ons were the way to go. Style did not matter at that point since you couldn’t see your feet any more.
